At fanfest, CCP made a big production about how their new corporate rallying cry for this year was 'Excellence'. They showed videos and even had that delightful little rap-rock "HTFU" thing proclaiming their solidarity as a company and the quality of their work.
Does someone who does not comprehend basic aspects of capital warfare - or even ewar mechanics - being in charge of the capital dev portfolio represent CCP's 'Excellence'?
As much as I'd like to simply post lil dude and talk about how wonderful - or shall I say 'excellent' CCP Abathurs changes were - how delightful it was to see a transparent, two-way feedback process between devs and players on Sisi - this blog forces the question.
Where's the excellence?
This sums things up nicely.

come on... some dev has to post already, this way the thread most likely would move from "enraged mob" to "sensible discussion" pretty fast
This seems fair..just someone SAY SOMETHING! Maybe you can at least take the edge off of the enraged mob. Just deleting posts will make things worse.

Originally by: Jimer Lins Another bit of fallout (no pun intended) from this debacle is one that CCP should rightly be wary of. Specifically, they have ensured that actual player participation on Sisi in upcoming game changes is going to be minimal to non-existent from now on. Nobody's going to bother testing changes when they are simply wholesale shredded.
Everyone who does any testing expects changes, but for those who spent any signifcant time testing Dominion changes to caps, I would bet they are (rightly) feeling like they just got kicked in the junk and had a whole lot of their time utterly wasted.
There's a difference between incorporating feedback and making meaningful changes and simply discarding a ton of hard work wholesale.
This sounds about right.

You can have a discussion or you can have censorship, they are mutually exclusive.
Again, a logical argument.1452

There I said it.
This whole thing is a shambles. You dont have a clue what you're doing anymore. You had changes that everyone loved and because everyone loved them you thought something was wrong therefore they had to be changed. You then realised that everyone hated the newer changes so you then made even more changes that everyone hated. Now everyone is really p****d so you decide to reverse all changes to one thing and completely mess up the other changes to something that resembles the defence of luxemburg in World War Two.
Anyone else seeing this?
Come on CCP, listen to us, Please. We are the players. We play the game. We know how is it to be played. We know what makes us happy and what really sucks. Is it really that hard to listen to the people that basically pay you? Come on!

I endorse that message..except it was only post 1441 now. What gives? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deleting posts is non-constructive

Originally by: Stratio What I would like to know is what is happening with the testing of Abathur's changes and the feedback from the community over 2 months?
Is it being avaluated? Was is discarded?
CCP will find it hard to get people to take part in SISI tests if their input is subsequently ignored all together.
